Your Very Own Bike Lane

Worry about riding around Midtown and specially around Downtown Sac? No problem, now you can carry your own bike lane. This amazing idea is from Altitude , Design Concepts.

Light Lane - Concept from Altitude’s Alex Tee and Evan Gant

I can't wait to have my own!!!

Sac Sunday Streets

One of the major goals of Bikeramento is to create the Velobahn. What is the Velobahn? The Velobahn is a Central City Bikeway that cuts through the heart of Downtown and Midtown and eventually connects cyclist and pedestrians from river to river.

We believe that Sac Sunday Streets is the perfect segway into the Veloban. Sac Sunday Streets is a soft closure of Capitol Avenue between 28th and 15th on the second sunday of every month from May to September from 7 am to 2 pm.

Sac Sunday Streets will be an opportunity for physical fitness for everyone (runners, walkers, skaters, cyclist, aerobic classes, yoga, and the list goes on and on) we can also have street vendors (lemonade stands, craft, etc) The possibilities for this event are endless.

Sac Sunday Streets will be a version of Colombia, Bogota's
Ciclovia.

Many other cities in the USA are implementing this concept.

We need your support! Let's work together towards our goal of becoming the most bikeable city in the USA.
