As seen this morning on the way to the California State Capitol. You can't argue with her style. She has my vote of confidence.

K Street Mall to Open for Bicycles!
After many years of being against the law to ride on the K Street Mall, the Sacramento City Council voted unanimously to rescind the prohibition.
Near the beginning of the new year, the signs will change to indicate that bicycle traffic is allowable in the center part of K Street Mall (between the yellow tiles) from 13th and 7th Streets. The "tunnel" section between 4th and 2nd Streets will also be open.
Bicyclists will always be required to yield to pedestrians, and not ride on the sidewalks, which, in the case of K Street Mall, is the area between the the building walls and the row of trees.

Sac Tweed Ride
I attended the First Sac Tweed Ride this weekend and it was an amazing success!!! Congratulation to Rick and Erin our generous hosts. Well Done!
To those 80 Sacramentan and visitors who participated I like to thank you for coming out and showing that Sacramento has a thriving bicycle culture. It was a very proud moment for me, indeed.
Awesome costumes, beautiful bikes, great food, amazing weather. Friends and new friends. It was a lovely affair.
Here is the link to the flick group: Sacramento Tweed Riders so you get an idea of what a fabulous event it was. Enjoy!
There is already talk of a spring tweed ride. Can't wait!
