Rain is in the forecast for the weekend again. Cold and windy days are here to stay for few months. Love this season and I love dressing for it.
One of my favorite autumn accessories: tights. Here is my newest addition. I love them!
Now Blue October
Now blue October, smoky in the sun,
must end the long sweet summer of the heart.
The last brief visit of the birds is done;
they sing the autumn songs before they part.
Listen, how lovely — there’s the thrush we heard
when June was small with roses, and the bending
blossom of the branches covered nest and bird,
singing the summer in, summer unending -
give me your hand once more before the night;
see how the meadows darken with the frost,
how fades the green that was the summer’s light.
Beauty is only altered, never lost,
and love, before the cold November rain,
will make its summer in the heart again.

I love San Francisco
I went to San Francisco's Haight St., as a last minute trip, yesterday. It was a feast for the senses: Halloween season, the Giants are playing their first game of the World Series and to top it all of, is Haight St. after all.
Wow!! When I remember that I had a camera in my hands pictures were snapped. Here is a few cycle chic ladies I found in the city by the bay.
A lot of them looked like they were on their groceries run and looking lovely.
It's nearly midnight and we are driving out of the city. These cyclist whistle by us.
See you soon San Francisco ♥

Amazing Outfits, Great Friends, Fun Times...
Yes, October Cycle Chic Sunday! Sacramento! It was wet but that didn't stop a hard core group of riders from showing up to Fremont Park to enjoy a bit of victorian cemetery culture.
And off we go a nice crowd of about 30 people
We arrived at the Cemetery and had an interesting tour of some of the residents and their history, their lives and their contribution.
And off we go again. This time to a much needed cup of coffee. On our way to Coffee Garden.
Another fun filled Cycle Chic Sundays! Sacramento

Gone PUBLIC
My friend Erin from 1girl2wheels and myself went on a Bike Candy trip to San Francisco. Our first stop PUBLIC.
I must say the staff was super friendly, the store is gorgeous and the location, South Park, is quite lovely. Take a look at the inside of the store
We wasted no time and test rode a Public M. A step-through frame bike very light and comfortable with an upright seat making you feel regal. 8 speeds with a very smooth and easy shifting. We were a sight to behold, laughing and riding around the park like girls with a new doll!
Needless to say we made time for our obligatory pictures. I don't have one of me, surely Erin will post one...hint, hint. I do, however, have several of Erin looking joyful going public.
Do you want to go Public too? They are having a contest to introduce their two new models this fall. The bikes are available for sale in mid-November 2010, but you can own one before is made available to the general public.
How? Create a vision in your mind of your world from the seat of a Public bike. Then share your vision in 200 words or less of how 90 minutes bicycle trip through your hometown would look like. More details: Win a PUBLIC

Bike Grab
To Bike Grab, the skater first needs a bike riding in front of him. While riding behind bike, he or she grabs the seat of the biker (or anything you can get a hold of) and kicks out as hard as he can to keep up with aforementioned bike rider. ;P

Doctor, Doctor Give me the News...
...I have a bad case of admiring you. These two pics were taken around commuter hours this summer. The first one has a fairly easy commute in midtown.
This next one I have to handed to her. Not an easy commute in a not so welcoming street and without bike lanes. Wow!
Thanks for choosing to commute by bike! My heroes in so many ways!

Sacramento Art Love
I recently was invited by Practical Cycle to participate in one of their guided "Sacramento's Murals and Sculptures" bicycle tours. The lovely Hannah, our tour guide, showed us the history behind each and every piece of public art work in our midtown/downtown area.
Below some pics from the tour.
The tour is about 2 hours long and the cost includes and electric bike rental. They also have other tour options to satisfy any interest you might have, i.e.: architecture, city parks, history, nature, etc. Thanks Tim, Cassidy and Hannah for inviting me!

Bloggers & Bikes
Two weeks ago Sacramento had its first ever Fashion Bloggers Meetup. Thanks to Crimson & Clover for providing the location and to Bella of the Citizen Rosebud for being such a gracious host.
Yes, the meet up was about fashion but I couldn't ignore that everyone in attendance is also a fashionable cyclist. Although, few of them show up in their bicycles, I photographed those who did as they left our gathering. Here they are for your viewing pleasure:
Check their blogs. At one time or another each lovely lady has discussed their two wheel live and their wardrobe solutions. They all make my Cycle Chic heart very proud.
Here are the rest of the ladies in attendance:
Kara, Porkchop Rules and owner of Crimson Clover
Nicole, Flaming Hag Folkwear and owner of Crimson Clover
Kari, Juniper James
Jen, Wade and Associates
Kerry, Fashion Farms and Freedom
Lisa, Starship Narcissus
Love you all!
