By now you probably know, I'm into bike baskets. Why you asked? I don't own one and I'm on the search for the perfect one...but alas, it avoids me.
In my never ending search I found one call Bike Porter designed by
Copenhagen Parts What's fun about this one is that is an integrated handlebar and basket. If you love urban slick look, the Bike Porter is definitely your choice. Click on the above link to find out more about it.
And it comes in a variety of colors.
The price is $225 and you can find it locally at
Mission Bicycle Company in San Francisco.

what do you think?
I love it! It would actually look good on my bike too! My grips are made of poplar as well. Too Cool!
Thanks Jason for the share! ;)
On the one that you posted, do you think the steering will be affected at all?
Jason,
I would think that is a matter of personal choice. I checked the FAQ on the "Copenhagen Parts" website. (there's a link in the article) and this is what they said:
"Will it affect my steering?
Carrying a load on your bicycle will affect how it handles but our experience is that people adjust to using a Bike Porter after just a few minutes. How much it affects the handling will depend on the weight, dimensions and distribution of the load carried. It’s best to keep the weight evenly distributed with the centre of gravity as low as possible. We also recommend the use of straps to keep larger loads stable."
But I presume you can test ride the Bike Porter at the "Mission Bicycle Company" store in San Francisco.
I think you'll find that the lower the weight is carried the less it will affect your steering.
I wouldn't choose that rack for that particular reason, but I agree that aesthetically it's very nice!
